EUIPO Harmonised data update - October 2018

The EUIPO has just released the list of new goods/services being added to the Harmonised Database as a result of their October review.It's an eclectic mix of goods and services for sure (there are 152 new additions), but one area that got some attention from the EUIPO is Esports (aka online televised gaming).  A good number of new Esports services have been added to the pre-approved services, including:

  • Production of esports events
  • Production of esports events for television
  • Organisation of esports competitions
  • Esports officiating
  • Provision of information relating to esports
